Press Release: FAAC Ranks Anambra State as the 1st in South East and 4th in Nigeria

Anambra State has been ranked as one of the best states in the federation that have successfully adopted and complied with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).


A recent report published by the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) scored Anambra highly among the States that have complied and domesticated the National Charts of Accounts and Development of Accounting Policies and Procedures in the country.

The report further reveals that Anambra State not only took the first position amongst States in the South East Geo-Political zone but was also one of the four states in the federation that were able to generate general purpose financial statements, statistical reports and multi-year budgets from their general ledger.

 With this latest ranking, Anambra State has demonstrated in practical and concrete terms its resolve to embrace accountability and transparency in governance hence, the influx of development partners and other multi-national organizations to the state.
