Chief Sir Victor Umeh joined Ndi Anambra to Mark 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary in Grand Style.
It turned out to be the gathering of Who is Who in Anambra Socio-economic, religious cum political trains as Chief Sir Victor Umeh- OFR joined the movers and shakers of our state to mark Anambra State @ 25.
In a special remark made by the Chairman of the Anniversary Committee who also double as Deputy Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Dr. Nkem Okeke outlined the programs mapped out to celebrate Anambra @ 25.
He made it known to the public that Silver Jubilee is worthy of celebrating especially in a State like Anambra where we are strategically moving forward.
Political stakeholders, religious leaders, captain of industries, traditional leaders and well meaning Ndi Anambra converged to applaud the giant strides of Gov. Obiano's enviable achievements despite the economic cankerworm eating up the nation.
Chief Umeh, the immediate past National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance and the Senate-designate of Anambra Central speaking to members of the press shortly after the event recounted the journey so far emphasizing that APGA party has restructured and redirected Anambra State to its path of progress.
He noted that prior to the emergence of the party in the state, Anambra was known for every negative possibilities but today is a state being emulated by many especially in areas of security in such time Nigeria is under serious security threats and in areas of financial management and sustenance of effective governance in a time the nation is undergoing economic recession and many states unable to pay their workers.
"While other states retrench workers and cut salaries, Anambra is employing more workers, increasing salaries and making prompt payments even before month end"
